Help Students in Grade 9; Pls Sign The Petition
According to the latest information about the 3-language policy, it will be implemented from July 1st.Students studying in Grade 9 will HAVE to choose 2 Indian languages.
Although it did state that foreign students will be granted exceptions, students who want to continue learning a foreign language will need to choose it as a FOURTH language.Not only does this lead to thousands of teachers losing their jobs due to fewer students choosing to learning french/german as a FOURTH language, it also discourages students from choosing the option in the first place as it will obviously burden them.
This also raises concerns over the future of many students who chose French/German as their second language and have been learning it for YEARS.Students chose these languages to learn something new and possibly go to a foreign country for an education/ to get a job.
