Motivation for different types of writing
I can get extremely motivated for writing a wedding speech and its a joy to write, and after writing it i stay in a flow state and think of it all day, and how to improve it. I get the same feeling when I'm writing a letter to the newspaper.
But when I try to write my novel that energy is never there. I feel bored and drained. It's a slog while writing and when I finish writing, I don't think about it or want to return to it.
How can I get the same energy for my novel?
