Financial Reporting

I currently hold a TS/SCI but am inactive but will be reactivating soon.

During my time in college, I received a notice of deficiency from the NY State tax dept which I did not know until a few months later. Heres a timeline:

Nov 2025: Initial proposal adjustment letter was mailed about an adjustment of around $850 was owed to NYS. Apparently I claimed a college tuition credit which I should not have (genuine mistake). I missed this letter because I was not living at my mailing address but at a college dorm. By missing this letter, I also missed the due date/response window on this letter.

December 2025: Received notice of deficiency from tax dept. This notice came with a new due date. As far as I am aware based on quick internet searches, it is just a bill and legal notice that NY believes I owe additional taxes. I had the option to pay or dispute. If I did not pay this by due date then this is where they would send it off to collection. I think this is a pre-enforcement letter and is similar to the IRS/federal version.

January 2026: Found the notice during my winter break when looking through my mail and paid it all off before the listed due date.

From end to end, this was less than 90 days from the initial letter and less than 30 days since the notice was received.

This adjustment was for 2022 tax year and that was my first year ever doing taxes. I did it by myself on TurboTax. This was a genuine mistake and I quickly paid it all off.

Never went into collection, never went into lien or judgement status, never affected credit score, or anything else. And I don't think this meets the SF86 definition of delinquent (not even sure if delinquent is the right word to describe this)? And from reading the SF86, I don't think I have to report this? I am not an expert in tax terminology so it would be helpful if guidance could be provided on this. I don't want to get flagged from CE when I do active my clearance.

Is this reportable? I realize I might be overthinking this and this is simply just a debt I needed to pay.
