I’m in Houston. I have my statement of eligibility in secondary math. I’ve applied to numerous districts all over town last month, went to 3 district jobs fairs, and haven’t heard anything back. I recognize I am at the bottom of the hiring pool due to lack of teaching experience/not fully certified.

It’s getting to the point where I’m starting to get concerned. I’m open to relocating to DFW area. I wouldn’t be thrilled about it imho since my community is here in htown but my need for a job overrides that.

I know overall the Texas teaching job market isn’t the best this year, but is this also city dependent?
