Hello,
I’m attempting to find the cheapest flight I can for an upcoming trip with my friends. I’m thinking about getting an inconvenient flight to save ~$100-$150. The place we’re staying isn’t super close to the airport, so my plan is to fly in early morning, and sit in the airport until my friends arrive about 12 hours later, and then we all carpool to our place.

My concern comes with sitting in the airport for such a long period of time. Is that legal or illegal? What would the consequences be?

Alternatively, if anyone has any ideas about how to frugally enjoy a ~12 hour gap alone in a new location then please let me know your thoughts!
