Applying this cycle, anybody know of any good community programs that have a track record of matching residents into competitive fellowships (cardiac, vascular, thoracic, surg onc)

Will be rotating at usc keck for a month and looking at an apartment near Baldwin street that would require me to walk through Lincoln park to get to keck everyday (including early morning hours). Realistically how dangerous would this commute be. Sorry if it’s a dumb question I’ve never been to the area and don’t have a car
