I'm newer to mortgages and home ownership, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question.
I'm coming up to our first mortgage renewal, are we able to renew for a higher amount than what is left owning on our house, and use the extra funds to fix some issues in our house? Or does it not work that way? Were in Ontario if that makes a difference.
For Background - I (31F) had two partials, one in May 2025 where my mass was removed and identified as FTC, the second was Feb 2026 (where I had a horrendous infection needing 2 drainages, lots of antibiotics, and had an open leaking wound for 38 days). RAI is no longer recommended for me, I'm on 125mg of Levothyroxin, I also take 40mg Vyvanse for my ADHD (adding cause that can also be part of the issue)
My libido is gone since this last surgery. I feel like everything else is ok. I have more energy, I'm doing better, losing weight, mentally not struggling like I used to. Things are good. But I've literally no interest in being intimate it feels like and it's so hard. My husband is great , I love him and he's not made me feel bad, nor has he brought it up that we've been intimate maybe 5 times since my surgery, but it still sucks. Will this go away? How do I build it back up?
