My Juvenile Chilean Rose tarantula will not eat :((
It is the 20th of may, 2026. I got it as a Christmas present on January 26th 2026. anytime I drop a cricket into its enclosure it will just run away if it even barely touches her. it has made a little burrow for itself where it will hide 24/7. im worried she will refuse to eat and just end up starving to death, im really scared. im a 17 year old male, first time owning my own personal tarantula (we had like 8 when I was around 4 years old, but this one is mine and stays in my room now). With it being my first personal tarantula im not very experienced, I constantly google and it says shes likely in Pre-molt but ive not seen any signs of her molting? am I overreacting, will she be fine?
is it something im doing wrong? is it's enclosure to big/small? is it's soil too wet? I'm really worried and I love her so much and just want her to be okay :((.
(I call the tarantula "it" due to the fact its so small and hasn't yet molted i dont think I can tell the gender yet, ive been calling it she occasionally but have been trying my best to refrain from doing so as I dont know the gender yet, im hoping its female though as they live significantly longer). Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, or even just the knowledge that im not doing anything wrong. she looks alot smaller than she actually is, in the last picture as shes kinda curled up into a ball, i took that photo about 10 mins ago after she ran away from the crickets.
