New Job As Lgpc help

Hello, graduating this month! I recently got an offer from a small/group outpatient mental health practice in Maryland as an LGPC. The structure is starting as a 1099 fee-for-service therapist at $50/session during ramp-up (until I hit 24 sessions weekly, which seems fair) then transitioning to a W2 role with a $70k base salary + productivity bonuses once a stable caseload is established. They said they expect full caseloads within a few weeks to months due to referrals, and they already have a couple LCPCs there, but I’d be their first LGPC hire.

I’m trying to figure out if this is a pretty normal setup for pre-licensed therapists or if there are red flags I should pay attention to. For those who’ve worked in group practices, how long did it realistically take you to build a caseload? And did your practices actually follow through on transitioning from 1099 to W2?
