I've been recently interested in joining a Verein (I'm open to a lot of things honestly, sports, music, dance, art, volunteering) mainly for two reasons:

1. It's more affordable (I'm not too keen on paying 12 euro every session I go do a sport)
2. I want to meet people, ideally 25-35 yo. Any German or English are both fine.

I'm struggling to find the right one, though. Mainly because:

• There are so many clubs I get immediately overwhelmed
• Most have really bad social media and website presence so I can't gauge whether they have people in my age range (and most sports clubs seem targeted towards kids anyway)

Once or twice I have walked past the odd flier on a wall that caught my eye but, unfortunately, it's been for something out of town, so it didn't work out.

Does anyone have some pointers as to how to find some cool ones to meet people? As I mentioned, I'm open to most anything: volleyball, animation, sculpture, salsa, guitar, cleaning the streets, untangling pigeon feet, making new clothes. My main struggle is figuring out whether there are people in my age range there.
