That might be a hot take but am i the only one who absolutely DESPISES catasaurus?
I know he's a "stackable fast attacking critter" but hell no though? This bitch need his enemies to move 3 pixels to reach and kill him and without crazy protection he's insanely difficult to sustain. Like ok, let's draw an analogy. Cats have classes and shit. There you've got barrier breakers like fencer, for 4 crowns you've got loincloth. Does loincloth complete his job most of the time without risking his life all the time? Yeah. Is he consistent? Yeah. He's got range and fast attacks as well as great proc rate. Next is shield piercer. We've got researcher and lil macho legs for this and they are fine for both normal and restriction stages, they have the range, the proc rate and everything. And then there's this absolute goober who not only has 10% crit without combos, but he has a noticeably long foreswing and too low of a range. And why do we use him? BECAUSE THERE IS TOO LITTLE OF A CHOICE FOR 4 CROWN STAGES. Like istg he NEVER does his ONLY JOB. He crits once you start hitting the enemy base, never the enemy. And the ONLY redeeming factor is his alright damage that kinda outclasses aku researcher and some other options. But aku researcher survives for a lot longer and is much more comfy to use. That's my opinion though, but when your ONLY job is to crit, then please do it.
