Rentals In Waterloo

Hello everyone’s i’m currently trying to find a rental in the city, ideally available asap (june 1st). I’m trying to find a room rental for under $650. preferably with my own bathroom , but everyplace i use to find listing are only for sublets which make it hard for me to find something long term. most listing show for may-august but id like to stay for my second year still.

If anyone has any reputable websites, agencies , or tips on how to find listings i’d really appreciate it!!! thanks

Solutions to homelessness

Hi guys , posting on here cuz i’m not sure where else to look for this sort of thing in the region. i recently just got kicked out of my childhood home (moms getting married) it’s a long story but i basically have no where to go and need to find a place to live ASAP. I barely make $1000 a month no i’m not sure if id be willing to rent at this moment. the idea of sleeping in a shelter scares me but if it’s what i need to do i will. my moms giving me barely any time to adjust or find housing and my family members wouldn’t be able to help. Does anyone have any tips on sleeping outside ? i was thinking maybe a trail thats not very busy? vegetation to avoid? i have a sleeping bag i could bring. or any housing services that may be able to help me ? i have a pretty decent credit score is that helps. i’m also in school at UW so if anyone knows of any housing help through there that would be great. thank you in advance

No place to live

Hi guys , i’m not really sure where i should’ve have stated this but i figured this would be an okay place to start. I’m 22 and my mom just kicked me out of the house. there has been a lot of problems with between us lately and everyone she brought my stepdad to live with us it hasn’t been smooth coasting. it’s been 4 days since ive been kicked out and ive been staying at my cousins on her couch in her 1bedroom apartment and im not sure how much longer i can stay here. i feel like a burden constantly and i can feel myself getting depressed. when i was living at home i was going to school but its spring now, i only work 3 days a week and my job is right beside my old house, and im currently staying across the city. so its gonna be a hard adjustment.

I used to go on walks everyday but theres no where for me to go at my cousins and ive been debating sleeping outside in a forest i would frequent very often, how safe would this be? and does anyone have any tips on how they would go about doing something like this. its may and its been slightly colder than usual in Ontario so i doubt there would be any bugs. I’m not sure how comfortable id be staying in a. shelter and going back home isn’t an option. does anytime have any advice on things to do in this situation? thanks in advance.

Hi guys. I’m a first year 22f born and raised in the city although i don’t have much friends who still live here, i really miss going out uptown and doing things. Would anyone recommend going to any bars/clubs in the area? i’ve been to phil’s alone once in the past and it was a pretty enjoyable night cuz the bathrooms are always wild lol but what are some social things anyone would reccomened for people who like to party or places to socialize places like this where it wont be considered weird to be alone? lol

thanks in advance
