Spousal OCI application
Hello I am a spousal applicant for OCI. My wife and my in laws all have their OCI for almost 10 years now. Me and my wife got married 4 years ago now and we started the process late last year finding and preparing documents. This is where the issue lies. I have had no contact with my father for almost 17 years now. I do not know if he has passed or alive so basically no contact. I have no documentation for his birth certificate or anything. I have my birth certificate listing both my parents on it from Ontario Canada. I also have my Marriage certificate which have been apostiled and notarized.I have a copy of my birth certificate from my mother who was born in Sri Lanka. I have all supporting documents from my wife.
Problem is that they want documentation for my dad which I can’t provide. I drafted an affidavit explaining this and got it notarized and still they have not accepted it.
I apologize for the long post but if there is any recommendation for my next step it would be very much appreciated. I am located in Toronto Ontario Canada.
I am also Canadian born citizen with a Valid passport and IDs.
