Account on Hold
Before anyone comes for me, I’ve searched and I can’t seem to find an answer.
On my first ever study, I clicked it and it instantly came back rejected, I didn’t land on another page - or answer any questions. After reading about the holds accounts get due to rejections, I was conscious.
I didn’t really know what the rejection was due to, it was about Meta Quest 2, which I own.
Fast forward to yesterday, I had a lot more approvals since then but when taking a study the EXACT same thing happened to me. I then had 2 rejections which obviously does not look good as a new user.
Now my account is on hold. I’ve seen people advising of messaging researchers to see if it can be overturned, I can’t do this because I’m on hold. Secondly, it wasn’t the researcher that rejected, it looks like it was Prolific.
I don’t use any VPNs. I read over everything here and on the Help Centre before taking any studies.
Has anyone had a success story of getting their account reinstated, in this situation? I’m waiting out for the appeal currently but would like to hear some positivity!
