How would you book your dream match?

Wrestling groups always come back to "what is your dream match," but how would your dream match work? Is it a one-off, a series a feud?

If Flair and Hogan wrestled a title unification in 1986, how would it happen? Best of three falls, best of three separate matches, would you have a decisive winner?

If 1986 British Bulldogs faced Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, who are the heels? Would Captain Lou neutralize Cornette?

Since this is completely speculative, don't limit yourself to contemporaries. How would you book 1970 Sammartino against 1993 Kobashi? And so on!

Flair vs. KVE Christmas 1982

I just saw this match in its entirety for the first time. I knew about it but I had never seen it. This is the match that ignited the huge Von Erichs - Freebirds feud. The match itself is not great, but the point was to start the feud, not have a great match. What stood out the most was Kerry's performance. After he got hit with that cage door he sold it for at least 10 minutes. He really looked concussed, trying to stand and then collapsing to the mat. I know his legacy is sort of mixed but he was great that night.

I also have to give credit to Ric Flair for this match. He almost didn't matter to the story. They could have done this with any opponent but Flair knew his role and stayed in it. He was always willing to do what the business required and of course he made Kerry look great.

Everyone involved did a terrific job including Terry Gordy. He was just there to slam the door on Kerry but he was visibly engaged the entire time, shouting advice to Michael Hayes. Just terrific execution by everyone involved.

And the fans were out of their minds like they often were in those days, and always were when the Von Erichs were involved.
