Mod Announcement: Keep It Civil. Repeated Argentina vs Egypt Posts Will Be Removed

The last 24 hours have been... eventful.

The Argentina vs Egypt match has sparked a lot of debate, and we've seen dozens of posts arguing that the match was rigged, alongside dozens more trying to debunk those claims. At this point, the front page is being flooded with the same discussion over and over again.

>From this point onwards, any new posts solely about the "rigged/not rigged" debate will be removed. If you want to discuss it further, please use the existing threads instead of creating new ones.

More importantly, we've also noticed a worrying increase in comments targeting religions, communities, and nationalities. Let us make this absolutely clear:

>r/kaalpanth has zero tolerance for hate speech, communal baiting, racism, or attacks on any religion or community.

Football rivalry is welcome. Banter is welcome. Disagreement is welcome.

Targeting people because of their religion, ethnicity, nationality, or community is not.

Such comments will be removed, and repeat offenders may face temporary or permanent bans depending on the severity.

Let's keep the focus where it belongs—on football. The World Cup is just getting started, and we'd rather spend our time discussing matches than cleaning up unnecessary toxicity.

Thanks to everyone who's been reporting rule-breaking content instead of engaging with it. It genuinely helps us keep the community enjoyable for everyone.

Our Community has crossed 2k members. A message to all Members to keep the Sub Clean and Respectful

2,000 of you. Now 2.2k. Still climbing. Honestly didn't see this coming, and we're not gonna pretend we built this — you did. Thanks for making this sub what it is ❤️

But as we grow, a few things need addressing.

What needs to stop ❌

  • Personal abuse in comments. Disagree with someone's take all you want, just don't attack them as a person
  • Spamming the same comment or argument across multiple posts
  • Fan wars turning toxic. Debate is welcome, hatred isn't
  • Messi vs Ronaldo threads turning into the same tired fight every time, with people abusing each other over it. Have the debate if you want, just don't make it ugly
  • Slurs, casteist remarks, or any kind of discrimination. Instant ban, no warnings

What we're doing about it 🛡️

  • AutoMod is getting updated to catch toxic terms and hate speech on its own
  • Personally abusive comments get removed without warning
  • Repeat offenders get banned, no appeals
  • Posts that keep turning into warzones get locked

What we want more of ❤️

  • Banter that stays banter
  • Tactical talk, match reactions, hot takes
  • Strong opinions, argued respectfully, without making it personal 🙏

r/kaalpanth is Kerala's football home, and we want it to stay that way. The culture here matters more than the numbers.

Keep it football. Keep it Clean. Keep it respectful 🔴⚽
