Climbing walls

I've been wanting to size up my Golden, but after trying the moss pole I decided it was too much maintenance, so I stopped. However, I've also tried other methods such as jute covered poles, coco coir poles, etc. The easiest method I found by far is using basswood hobby boards to cover my walls and then taping a growing vine's node to the board. They grow aerial roots almost immediately (so much quicker than even the moss poles) and then glue themselves to the board. Has anyone tried this?

Indoor Autumn Fern

I wanted to show off my indoor Autumn Fern. It was overwintered and only had a couple of fronds when I woke it up. I learned quickly it needs tons of light to be happy and my west-facing window wasn't enough. I ended up getting a 38 par(?) grow light about 18 inches from the fern. My favorite thing is to watch the alien looking fiddleheads slowly grow. Has anyone else tried to grow one indoors?

Climbing walls

I wanted my Golden to size up but also didn't want to maintain a moss pole, so instead I got some basswood hobby boards and used 3M velcro to attach them to the wall. For whatever reason I discovered that if you tape the node to the board it almost immediately grows out an aerial root and glues itself to the board. Without misting! Of course, this is with a growing vine. I've tried moss pole, jute covered stakes, coco coir pole, etc, but this is by far the easiest to get it to root for me. Has anyone tried this before?
