What is one Oscar-winning performance that not a lot of people love but is in Top 10 or 15 of all time for you in the category?
Julianne Moore in Still Alice breaks my heart. Overdue win? Yes. Oscar-baity? Sure. But her performance in Still Alice is a tough watch due in no small part to her soul crushing work. Moore portrays Alice's psychological journey from her discovery of her disease to its progression so powerfully. Her "Art of Losing" speech scene? Tears to my eyes! This is a performance perfectly restrained and layered as she holds tight onto her memory. I love this win sm!
Sally Field chances for a win? Just watched Remarkably Bright Creatures
Thoughts on Sally Field's chances for an Emmy win? Just finished the film and it's a very moving film anchored by the delightful Sally Field! I loved the film but there's just something special with watching Field working her magic here, adding so much depth to Tova. I was pulled at the heartstrings with her work in this one. Been a while since we got a performance from a TV Film nominated in this category, but if we had to have any again, ofc Sally Field would break through!
Mind you these are the kind of moments they wanna take away from us from the main show!
ICYDK: Brenda Fricker is the first Irish actress to win an Oscar
RIP Brenda Fricker🕊
Talk about an actress who brings so much humanity into every role they tap. My Left Foot also wouldn't have had the staying power that it had without Fricker's deeply resonating performance💗 Fricker and O'Hara in the same year😔
Ride or Die.This show is lit! If you get the chance, go check it out.
Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer are such a gem!
Hot Take: We might be underestimating her for the win
I'm currently predicting Hannah Einbinder but while it seems that Kate O'Flynn is her biggest competitor right now, I can also see a path for Dale Dickey. Obviously her show is coming in hot right now to Emmy voters but Dale Dickey is also a very beloved veteran who finally has a role that got her in the Emmys radar and also made it in even if her biggest episode was too late to be submitted. Episode submissions don't hold that much weight lately anyways so that wouldn't be a huge drawback for her. A huge scene stealer in the show with her DNA scene being one of the highlights of Season 1. I'm all for her pulling off an upset.

The TV Academy DID THE RIGHT THING!!!!
MAYOR JO IS FINALLY AN EMMY-NOMINATED ROLE!!!! My Weedman prediction in GoldDerby paid off. Also, 7 nominees? Does this mean a tie for the 6th spot? No one from Hacks ladies had to come at the expense of one another, ALL GOT NOMINATED!
THANK GOD THE EMMY'S NEVER FORGOT!!!! #TheGildedAge
I had both Carrie Coon and the show in my prediction list as well as Wever in Guest but I was so scared for the show. I'm so thrilled with their nomination plus now a directing nom. Baranski probably would've happened too if she stayed in Supporting but these noms are still HUGE WINS.
Jamie Lee Curtis for The Bear: Does she now move to Supporting next year?
Hacks is going to fill up the entire Guest Actress Comedy category....and yet it deserves to!
Legendary season for guest actress performances in a single show! I'm not even talking about Lauren Weedman yet.
I think this will finally be his year to win his overdue Emmy for Only Murders in the Building
Also tragic to see how he's been through so many tragedies with him losing so many beloved friends and family in the span of 5 months including Keaton, Reiner, O'Hara, and Katherine his daughter 🥺
Maybe my favorite Hacks episode yet, hbu?
sorry y'all, but I think the show and Jean Smart is going all the way
I hope she wins! I've read somewhere that singled out Bibb and Jones' episode and called it the season's best (apparently Ava and Deborah plays a couple there) so I went of thinking one of them gets it. But this is my favorite DJ episode by far. She had a lot of hillarious and chaotic moments but she had me sobbing in full-clown makeup!! Beautiful last moments in the show between her and Deborah.
