How does an ARF trooper join a legion? Can someone explain the chain of commands and a real world example?

Like how Rancor Battalion is not apart of a legion in GAR, but within the ARF program. Is there different legions in the ARF aswell? Or does a ARF trooper need to join a division, like the 501st ARF troopers.

Let's say Commander Jet went to Kamino or Coruscant for some personal recruitment, parade or training exercise. And since he's off-duty, would his default armor look like a special ops clone trooper?

My prediction is that he would not have his camo on and would wear regular clone trooper armor with 21st nova corps markings, since when we saw that Waxer and Boil got ARF trooper armor instead of their regular 212th clone armor when they were deployed to Geonosis.

I'm guessing their just more advanced ARF troopers within the 41st Elite Corps.

Is Commander Trauma's unit apart of a legion/battalion? Like the 41st?
