(22M) So these past few days I’ve been going down the Deftones rabbithole. Listening to their discography has been a unique experience. I had like a 1 week Deftones listening phase before that didn’t cover all albums. But this time around is different. The contrast between Chinos softer vocals and the guitar/drums heaviness feel so different. It made me borderline uncomfortable in a good way. And the way they can reverse the energy and have chinos voice be the aggressive element to a song while the instruments play a more atmospheric role. Right now I’m stuck on hearts/wires, beware, infinite source, sextape.
