My easy pace is a lot slower than my race pace. Is this normal?
i started running a couple months ago and my 5k PR is 22:21 (4:28/km) avg 196bpm @ 210 max hr. my threshold efforts are quite a lot slower at 5:15/km, which i know indicates i have a poor aerobic base. But, i tried to run a long easy at 6:30/km and my hr was drifting into zone 4, i slowed it down to 7:30/km and it was stuck in zone 3. Is this a cadence lock issue? Do i run/walk or just keep running 7:30 until it stays in zone 2?
