Advice Needed
Hi everyone,
I’m currently a Financial Analyst in the DMV area at a F100 company and am on track to have my CPA completed by Dec. 2026. My goal is to start an MBA program in Spring 2027, ideally at Georgetown, but UMD College Park is also high on my list.
A few questions for anyone who has been down a similar path:
- Does anyone here have both their CPA and MBA? If so, what has your career path looked like after getting both? Was it worth it?
- What’s the best way to approach scholarships/funding for MBA programs? Any tips or things you wish you knew earlier? Am I already behind for Spring 2027 funding opportunities? I’m open to Fall 2027.
- I’d eventually like to pivot out of traditional accounting into something more business-focused/strategic. Any advice on making that transition?
- For anyone that may have went to Georgetown, how was your experience?
