my doctor dismissed me

Need to rant for a sec. I just had my post op appointment with my OB that did my surgery. Initially he had told me that one lesion was removed and one was left because it sat over my ureter and he didn't want to risk removing it. Everything else was covered in scar tissue and was pulling my uterus towards the right.

Today he made it sound like he didnt actually excise anything. So I'm looking at my surgical notes and it just notes the one active lesion on the ureter and scarring on everything else. So he didn't actually remove anything at all.

When he told me next steps he said my options were progestin only bc, medically induced menopause, or get pregnant. 🙄

I brought up the fact that a lot of patients are seeing improvements on micro doses of glp1 therapies, noting the new studies that have come out citing 64% of patients saw decrease of symptoms, unrelated to weight. So I asked him, have you personally seen any patients who this has helped? He immediately shut me down and said he doesn't subscribe to those and doesn't follow any of the research related to it. It's not part of the best practices of gynecological medicine so why would he pay attention to it.

It's not like I even asked him if I could be put on it. I just asked if he had seen it in his practice. So he doesnt have any idea if any of his patients have had success cause he wouldnt even awknowledge it if they did!

Anyway, I'm feeling bummed that he didn't actually remove anything during my lap and he doesnt have any good options for me moving forward and didnt even schedule any additional appointments. Just said I'm good to go. I'm really glad I have a diagnosis now, but I still feel a little defeated.

During my laporoscopy on Tuesday they found a lot of scar tissue and 2 active lesions. I've been on birth control for 2 years so I'm not super surprised it's not super active at the moment.

My question is, did your surgeons remove or leave the scar tissue? Is it possible there is Endo inside or underneath that scar tissue? The scar tissue is pretty much everywhere, especially on the ligaments. Also, they are pretty positive it's scar tissue from endo, not another cause.

Should I be seeking a specialist to remove the scar tissue? My doctor suggested I get pregnant to help with the scar tissue.

I had my first laparoscopy this week. They found it!!! It wasn't as bad as they initially thought it would be, but it's still not great. They said I had two active lesions, one directly on my ureter. But then they also said I had a lot of scar tissue, pretty much everywhere.

They only removed one of the active lesions, and didn't touch anything else. Is that normal? I get why he didn't want to remove the one over the ureter, because that's not his specialty. But I would think they'd want to remove some of the scar tissue, right?

Is it worth getting a second opinion from a specialist?

Also, they recommended that I should get pregnant in the next year and that would be like a hard reset. How is that supposed to help the scar tissue? Does it just help break it up?
