I got a strong feeling GTA 6, Zelda OOT Remake and possibly even Duskbloods will end up with a nom unless the slim chance of them being crappy made happens.

Well were already halfway through the year so i feel like i have some good ideas for a few GOTY contender this year.

Some i definitely think are up would be RE Requiem, 007 first light, Saros, Crimson Desert

(Sidenote ive only played RE Requiem and Crimson Desert really like both didnt play the other 2 but heard lots of great things and think they will end up with the nom.)

and even though theyre not out yet GTA 6, Duskbloods and Zelda OOT Remake will almost definitely be great GOTY material at least i really really hope so.

Who are some titles you think will end up there?

God you just cant convince people anything anymore, just look at today we have huge groups of people believing the earth is flat, human evolution is fake, MAGA group who cant see their leader completely cognitively absent yet still convince he's still a genius and any sort of innocuous opinion anyone got to say must be either be the absolute truth or falsehood cant just let your opinion be small and of your own.

We have gotten to the point where discussion to convince the other to reevaluate a certain belief is so long gone its almost alien to think of.

Everyone has the most absurd ridiculous level in entitlement today, Like how are we gonna move on in life with so many people so ridiculously thin skinned they either just a dragging anchor to all of society or always walking loud around with the most fragile ridiculous entitlement for their importance.

It doesn't even matter if you civilly reason and respond to them there no such thing anymore as a civil thoughtful debate with these kind of people just any contrary point of view is always a personal attack on the them.

Even things that really should frankly be considered stupidly trivial must be made a big deal out of.

Lets take 2 examples as the real main point of this post. The first example in like a civil rational time you could say something so small and trivially non controversial like "I like the red M&M dispenser." simple and totally innocuous right or it should be at least now it would could go into "Oh so yellow M&M dispenser not good enough for you?"

That person would definitely respond "Who said that? I like yellow also I just like the red one a tad more." and it would just escalate and exacerbate even further from there. Don't that sounds absolutely ludicrous to start a fight over? I don't see anyone arguing against that (at least not a rational person) but that's just the norm of today.

Lets take another example leaning to the less popular or should at least I myself don't possibly understand it but a fair bit of people who say somewhere along the lines of "Harley Quinn is a greatly written character"

I myself think that is actually a really dumb statement she is an incredibly stupid character both in her personality and how she is written with her being a helpless bimbo with little depth that is nothing like Batmans other most iconic villains in layers of depth that really shouldn't be touchy to say, but now me saying that would more then likely be interpreted by many as "Oh you bully troll cant tolerate anything different."

Now why would people jump to that conclusion is what i would say if there's those out there thinking that? You know even me thinking someone has bad taste doesn't always equal to someone bullying or showing intolerance to another person. Apparently we just don't know what a good reason is anymore. There's just no depth, nuance or emotional maturity to any topic. Any contrary take must be interpreted as either a personal attack or bullying/trolling.

The idea of you talking for the sake of it don't exist anymore it is absolutely exhausting and infuriating to have to put up with people like this. It becomes absolutely ridiculous they just must feel importance and deep high regarding value over such trivial silly shit.

We cant just go like "you know i like it, it was flawed but i like it." Of course some may not see the flaws lots point out but surely they can at least point out that they see them and acknowledge them in some form, That idea of emotional maturity practically don't exist anymore.

We have all have different opinions to what we like or dislike but surely we all can find a middle ground were we can understand why some others feel different from you and you yourself don't go off the rails you believe. Must we make every topic of such large scale importance? Cant we for once just possibly open up to the idea of reevaluating what we think in a way with zero intention of intolerance of hatefulness towards the other person?

Now the personal opinion I've talk about Harley Quinn here lots may say I've shown intolerance and even an insensitive tone, despite of what I've gone on here about finding middle ground in where our belief differ at the end of the day i can only just say well ok I don't see it myself and the that's the end of it.

I just think its dumb to go into an argument to what's should be a silly dumb character to not think or treat highly of. Course you liking the character is totally fine in some tiny aspects there something to like of the character i guess i myself just don't whatsoever understand why anyone would say she's a greatly written character. Surely that entitlement must be put on hold when it comes to something like that, and like a broken record i must end by repeating well that's at least that's what i believe.
