I’ve been in the process since June of 2025 and recently got a ship date of jun 9. Made several bad decisions and I’m 210lbs at 5’8 and to add on top of it I have weed in my system that I’m almost certain won’t come out in time for my ship date unless I can pull something off with palo azul or a detox drink before going to basic. My recruiter insists that it’ll be out of my system before shipping but I can’t shake the feeling it won’t. he also says they’ll tape me and I’ll be fine. My question is, am I just totally screwed and should leave DEP to preserve my chances of being in the military at all? Or should I risk it with the detox drinks to maintain my dream of becoming an airman?
