Just got this combo for my birthday and have only done small amounts of research on surf fishing. From what I’ve seen, this reel is primarily used for catching large fish. Im okay with targeting larger species, but Im not sure what I should be buying/using in order to target those (bait, line, leaders, types of rigs, etc). I’ve heard a variety of things to use and i just don’t know what to decide on. I’m going to be fishing Wilmington nc if that changes anything.
