



Has anyone removed the spacers on the SR motor before?
I was wondering if anyone has removed the spacers on the left side? Not the one where the belt tensioner is, but the one above it. I’ve got about 300 miles on my SR. I started getting a weird whining noise and figured it was the belt so I started trying to adjust it. Then I noticed my motor wasn’t straight it was slightly leaning towards that top left spacer. I removed it and looked inside and tried getting it aligned for hours. Finally had enough and removed all the motor bolts and pulled the spacer and there was what looks like a helicoil in that spacer. I then tried putting the bolt in, and sure as shit- it doesn’t fit. It’s an m8 45mm internal hex socket cap. The existing threading is closer to an m10 or larger. So so my question is if anyone has removed theirs before and was there also a helicoil in yours? It doesn’t make sense to me that they’d have an m10 and use a helicoil in all the motors.
