Endurance / Stamina Training

Hi All! What are your routines for endurance and stamina training in relation to climbing? I'm consistantly struggling with keeping my will to finish a climb up despite feeling strong enough to do it. It's not so much as being pumped out as it is a combination of losing pacing that makes me start to feel weak and distracted on the wall.

New bag user issues - not adhering to skin

Hi all - new user here with a temp colostomy bag. Everything was going ok but lately with new bag application the adhesive is pulling up less than a day in. It always pulls up in the same spot where there is slightly more bellyfat and a crease near my belly button/surgical scar.

Any tips and tricks to help with getting it to stay better? Looking to feel more secure while I'm handling the colostomy.

ISO Post Bowel Perforation Surgery Info/Experiences - Newly Diagnoses w/ Diverticulitis

Hi All - coming to this subreddit has been extremly enlightening as to what Diverticulitis is. Thank you all for the openeness to share your journies.

My mom was diagnosed on Thursday last week, given antibiotics for a flare up that included intense stomach pain and a high fever then sent home. On Friday I took her to the ER due to increased stomach pain and persistant fever where she was immediately taken into surgery for a perforated bowel. The urgent care she went to didn't do an initial CT scan but we are really lucky that the ER took her seriously as the risk of sepsis at this point was really high. All went well in surgery and she is luckily recovering very well. The surgeon told me she had a large abscess that had been in there for quite while and a ton of inflimation which likely led to the perforation. As this is a new experience for her overal, never knowing she had diverticulitis before I was hoping to get some advice and clarity around a few things to help her.

  1. What was the recovery process like for anyone else who has had this type of surgery?

She was given a temp colostomy bag fyi which is the least of our worries. More looking for insight into how long it takes to get back to normal life like walking pain free, moving around, etc etc.

  1. What did you need the most help with after being discharged with the hospital?

  2. Has there been any setbacks or improvments that have reshaped your life due to this type of surgery?

I'm really open to hearing any type of experience you would like to share. I'm trying to do what I can to help her feel hopefull about the future because again, we are lucky that we caught everything in time!
