Is Sitting Slowly Taking Your Freedom To Move.....

One thing I’ve learnt from working with clients who spend most of their day seated is that the body can get very comfortable with the same few movement patterns.

Sitting. Standing. Walking forward.

And rarely moving much outside of those directions.

Over time, that can start showing up in everyday moments.

And you start struggling with simple things like Getting out of the car, turning to reach for something or just getting down to pick something up.

Movements that should feel simple can start feeling stiff, restricted, or uncomfortable.

That’s why mobility isn’t just about stretching.

Sometimes, it’s about reminding your body that it can move in more than one direction.

Your body adapts to what you repeatedly ask it to do. So give it more to work with..

Is Your Sitting Habbit Slowly Catching Up With Your Lower Back???

If your job demands that you’re seated most of the time, your body can slowly get used to relying on your lower back instead of your hips......

And you may not notice it at first......

You sit, you stand, you bend, you get back to work… and you repeat the same pattern every day.

Eventually, you may start noticing lower back discomfort when you bend down, get up from your seat, or even after sitting for long periods.

So, if this sounds like you, today's movement may help get your hips moving and sharing that workload again.

BUILD BETTER HIP, ANKLE AND HIP MOBILITY

Did You know You Can Start Your Mobility Journey Today

Having worked with busy professionals who are juggling between their work at a desk trying to meet deadlines or constantly travelling,

They spend hours in the same positions, and over time, their joints become less comfortable moving through ranges they rarely use.

But one of the biggest challenges I’ve noticed, especially during our first few weeks working together, is their fear of deeper ranges.

And a lot of that fear comes from one thing:

Age.

Most individuals assume that becoming stiff and losing mobility is part of getting older.

Which is wrong

Mobility isn’t something you automatically lose just because you age.

When we stop exposing our joints to their natural ranges of movement, our ability to move through those ranges can gradually decrease.

The good news is that this can be improved.

Through regular mobility work, flexibility training and strengthening, we can restore lost movement, build control and help preserve joint function over time.

You only need to start.

Lower Back Arthritis Pain Relief

Lower back arthritis can make simple movements like getting out of bed, standing up after sitting, or walking feel more difficult than they should.

While arthritis can't be reversed, the right type of movement can help improve how comfortably your spine moves and build the strength needed to better support it.

In today's video, I'm sharing three exercises I'd start with. The routine begins by restoring gentle movement through the joints of your lower back, progresses to improving rotational mobility through your spine and hips, and finishes with a core strengthening exercise to help reduce unnecessary stress on your lower back during everyday activities.

Remember, the goal isn't to avoid movement—it's to help your body move with greater comfort and confidence. Stay within a comfortable range, be consistent, and if your symptoms are severe, worsening, or persistent, seek an assessment from a qualified healthcare professional.

RELIEVE LOWER GLUTES TIGHTNESS WITH THESE 3 MOVES

The gluteus maximus is the largest buttock muscle- the one you sit on.

When strained or inflamed, it can cause pain in the buttocks, lower back, hips, and even down the leg.

This discomfort often results from a combination of muscle weakness and tightness, leading to strain and irritation.

To address this, today's movement focus on both stretching and strengthening the glutes- offering fast relief and long-term benefits.

Each exercise targets the gluteus maximus in a unique way. For best results, try them all and continue with the ones that bring you the most relief.

Move Better, Feel Better #1: Relieve Lower Back Discomfort

Lower back discomfort isn't always caused by the lower back itself.

When your hips become stiff or the muscles that support your spine aren't working efficiently, your lower back often has to compensate during everyday movements like bending, walking, or reaching.

That's why today's progression restores movement through the hips and trunk, improves spinal stability, and strengthens the muscles that support your lower back.

Together, these qualities help your body distribute movement and load more efficiently, reducing unnecessary stress on your lower back during everyday activities.

Remember, lasting relief comes from improving how your body moves—not just where it hurts.

Knee Stability • Hip & Ankle Control • Movement Confidence

Climbing stairs, getting out of a car, or rising from a chair all rely on how well your knees, hips, and ankles work together.

When one area lacks strength or control, the body compensates — and everyday movements can start to feel stiff, unstable, or uncomfortable.

This routine is designed to support: • Knee stability — for stronger, more controlled movement during daily activities • Hip control — to improve power and reduce excess load on the knees • Ankle mobility & stability — for smoother, more balanced steps • Lower body coordination — to improve overall movement confidence

With better control through the lower body, everyday actions like stairs and transitions feel easier, smoother, and more natural.

Move better. Live better.
