I was diagnosed with PCOS, but my main issues are extremely oily skin, severe hair loss, unexplained rapid weight gain, and hirsutism — not irregular cycles. I also have normal glucose, insulin, and LH:FSH levels, but all of my androgen levels are at least twice the upper limit of the reference range.

I’m going to try minoxidil and ketoconazole first, but if they don’t help, I’ll probably have to try spironolactone. I’ve heard it can be hard for many people to tolerate. Has anyone here tried it?
