Doctor advice
I need help figuring out how to bring up to that doctor that I suspect I have hEDS. I’ve been having an extreme amount of joint pain recently in the past few weeks for no apparent reason and it has my family very concerned. They want me to go to the doctor about it and I don’t know how to tell the doctor what’s going on but I want to be able to mention to them that I think it’s hEDS. I would at least like to figure out how to be tested for that and I have no idea how to go about that. If anybody has any recommendations of what I should say to the doctor or where I need to go to get a diagnosis that would be helpful. Haven’t gone to a primary care doctor in 10 years because I am deathly afraid of doctors so I would like to try to find a way to get this figured out as easily as possible and as quickly as possible, even though I know that may not be the case. But I’m really tired of the constant pain and I would like to at least know what is causing it. Thank you in advance for any help and advice!
