Hey all, looking for some honest advice from people who are in Customer Success or have made the transition into it.

Quick background: I've got about 10 years in growth marketing across top tech companies overseas. I'm now based in Melbourne and currently in a customer-facing retail role.

I feel like my background overlaps a lot with what Customer Success as I manage relationships and look for areas of growth.

A few things I'd love input on:

• How did you land your first Customer Success role without prior CS title experience?
• Is it worth doing any certifications (e.g. Gainsight, HubSpot)?
• What did interviewers actually care about?

Appreciate any input even just "here's what I wish I knew" would be helpful!
