W2 Associate Supervision Compensation
Associate therapists at private practices!! are you paid for supervision hours?
I’m a W2 hourly associate at a PP. Supervision has always been framed as a “benefit” alongside insurance and 401k, and I’ve never been compensated for it. I recently found out associates at other PPs are paid for supervision hours.
Are you paid as a supervisee for supervision?
Have you advocated for it, and how did it go?
Is it worth raising at my current practice?
When I brought it up with my supervisor she got defensive and said she’d never heard of this. Appreciate any input from folks who have navigated something like this!
