Pathfinder Team Finished — What Are Your Thoughts?

Paintjob is done — basing still needs to be finished though! I think they turned out pretty well overall. Do you guys have any suggestions or improvements?

I’m especially happy with the skin tones and the freehand red stripes.

These are from the Tau Combat Patrol and only my second unit of 40k miniatures. I usually paint Star Wars Legion, so any tips or feedback are very welcome!

I also didn’t really know much about Kill Team when I built them, so I’m probably missing some of the specialist “roles.” I mainly plan to play 40k, not Kill Team, but do you guys have any tips to make them more Kill Team ready without rebuilding too much?

How do you guys usually paint your minis? I keep switching between batch painting and doing them one by one.

Painting a single model feels more enjoyable and rewarding, but it’s definitely slower. Batch painting is way more efficient, but I kind of lose motivation halfway through.

Also, quick side note: I built 2 Railguns and 1 Ion. I’m not strictly aiming for WYSIWYG, but that’s actually the loadout I want to run anyway 😅

And I think I’ve got the three-color minimum down, so technically tournament ready? Bases might still be an issue though 😂

Finally working on my Pathfinder Team! Really excited to bring them in line with the rest of my army and push that spec-ops look.

How do you like it?

What do you guys think about my Commander? He’s fully magnetized and painted in an older Vior’la sept scheme.

I’m still unsure about the best loadout. He’s going to lead a unit of Sunforge Crisis Suits, so I’m currently thinking about running 2x Fusion Blasters, 1x Cyclic Ion Blaster, and a High-Output Burst Cannon, but I’m not completely convinced yet.

I just started this army with the Combat Patrol, so I’m still figuring things out.

The weakest parts right now are probably the energy effects and the base.

Any feedback is very welcome!
