I am building a pergola on my garage deck, do I need a building permit from city?
There’s no electrical component to this project, it’s going to stand alone so I’m not modifying a structure. I am sure I could pull a permit with the city of Chicago, but curious if I have to? Pros and cons…
I see these all over my neighborhood and wondering if they’re permitted.
