I moved here from California last April and the one thing i hate is the weather. How do you guys get through a tornado warning/watch and sirens going off almost every storm?

My anxiety spikes so bad it’s almost an immediate panic attack when the sirens start going off. How do you all still live here 😭

ALSO, what am i supposed to do during a tornado if i live in an upstairs apartment? i don’t feel safe 😭😭
