Manual swap question
Hello everyone, I’m getting ready to n55 swap my f31 328i
I’ve got a long list of parts and chores ahead of me to get it swapped lol. Will be posting updates in the following months as I’m preparing the n55 to be swapped in.
My question to everyone is, the car I’m buying the n55 from has a 6spd manual In it, and I already need to swap transmissions as the n55 ZF8HP is approx 1” shorter than the N20’s ZF8HP. So I’m thinking of just buying the manual from the same car I’m getting the motor from? What in all is involved in swapping to manual from auto on a F-series? I haven’t been able to find much info on YouTube, and am curious and what all I need to swap?
My car right now is N20 x-drive and the donor car is also X-drive, so from my understanding I should be able to grab most of the driveline components and swap them over?
