Bulkhead Removal
I have an older shower with FRP panels that were removed, and I’m looking to remove the bulkhead to open up the entrance so larger solid panels can fit in during the remodel.
I’m thinking this wall section may be removable, but wanted to get some opinions first. Should I remove it entirely, or add a 2x6 header across the top for support? The shower opening span is only about 36", and the house was built in the 1970s.
