Anyone notice this with Planteray?
I’ve long enjoyed this brand back under their previous name “Plantation”. The Barbados 5 year was my first intro to run which opened the door and got me into the spirit. I long held the Barbados 5 year is a great starting run for neophytes thinking that it was very accessible and a good middle of the road type rum without the fogo that can throw some people off and better to introduce, in my humble opinion, only after someone gets bit by the rum bug. However, I can’t help but feel that it’s not quite the same after the name change, and not really in a good way. I know they claim it’s the same stuff in the bottle but idk, I’ve had the Barbados several times after the name change and I swear the flavor profile is not the same as earlier times, could just be in my head but curious to see if anyone else has had this observation.
