Quick update - we ended up going to Westgate Resorts (the River Ranch & Rodeo one in Orlando) last weekend and it was a pretty good fit for what I was looking for. The kids got plenty of PE time in without me having to force it, and the ranch setup made it easy to talk about animals, Florida history, and just being outdoors.

I’m making a list of Florida day trips I can use for homeschool without needing a full lesson plan around each one.

Science and PE are the main things I’m looking for, so places with outdoor activities, animals, water, nature, or anything hands-on would be helpful. Mixed ages would be a plus too.

Are there Florida spots that you can recommend that have actually worked well for a homeschool day out?
