To make the story stronger, I had to split my book into two, which resulted in a seemingly tragic ending in book one, but the romance thread is resolved with an HEA at the end of book two. There are other categories I can choose (epic fantasy, LGBTQ+), but I want it to be clear that there is romance. The romance subplots are present, and there will be payoff eventually.
