ASI Career Institute/ Medical Assistant
Has anyone attended ASI Career Institute and struggled more with the classroom environment than the actual coursework?
I’m in a program right now and I’ve been struggling with the atmosphere more than the actual coursework. There’s a lot of side looks, visible frustration from the instructor toward certain students, and overall it sometimes feels more like a “high school” environment than an adult learning space.
I also don’t think anxiety/nervous students are always handled in the most professional or supportive way, which can make it harder to stay comfortable enough to participate and retain information. I’m aware nervousness is something you have to work through when entering a field like this, but I still feel like students should be able to learn in an environment that feels professional and supportive.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this there, or if maybe this is just isolated to my class/instructor.
