Please Help! PC recommendations - poweruser, lots of apps, long hours
Hi! My laptop has gotten really sluggish and I think it makes sense to move back to a desktop. I use three monitors, have to work in both Microsoft Office and G-Workspace. I'm a poweruser who works with multiple clients and can work up to 19hr days sometimes 7 days a week. I often find that my laptop glitches out when I type too fast or when I'm working on a bunch of different stuff. I do a lot of heavy excel work with a lot of formulas, design and web work, and mostly just have a lot of tabs and browsers and apps open to manage multiple workstreams at the same time. I work very quickly and often find that the reason I'm slower is because of load times on my computer or glitches.
I am not a tech person and I'm also neurodivergent and I'm find it really overwhelming looking at all the possible configurations and am wondering if anyone has something prebuilt that meets my needs?
Based on my computer use I believe I need 64GB RAM and I'm just not clear on best processor, graphics cards, if I should add SSDs or better to have a larger SSD to start with?
I would really appreciate any guidance on making the smartest decision for what I am considering a long-term investment.
I currently use a Inspiron 15 Dell that's about 3 years old, I rarely use it as a laptop and primarily just have it hooked up to a docking station.
Also, if you think I should just invest in a better laptop let me know... but I think I've overworked this one and often in an office setting when I've been provided laptops I seem to wear mine out faster than other people do.
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE for advice, guidance, and support. Also, I'm based in the U.S.
