Offer delay
Hello everyone
I interviewed for a role at a company and after the final rounds, HR told me on April 17 that the offer process was temporarily on hold and had no further details. I followed up on may 12th and HR responded with
“I apologize for the delay in sending the offer. I wanted to let you know that there have been some updates internally: the department name has changed and the position title has also been updated to (new name)
The offer was sent to our VP for approval two weeks ago and we are currently waiting for their confirmation.
(Department head name) is following up closely to help move the process forward as quickly as possible.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding throughout this process and I apologize again for the delay.”
Can anyone give me more insight on what this means or has anyone gone through something similar?
