Candy cane pepper harvest :)

A sweet pepper growing on a heavily variegated plant. Good for everything a bell pepper is used for, makes a great ornamental plant too.

Candy cane pepper harvest!

Definitely the easiest variegated pepper variety I’ve had experience growing. I’ll have to try growing the more popular chocolate variety next time :) I got my seeds from Matt’s peppers.

Outdoor confetti sundae day 46, Berry beast day 59.

It’s been a very easy grow :) each plant is growing in a 3 gal grow bag using fox farms coco loco potting soil. Watered with plain water until week 4 I began using a low dose of maxi bloom fertilizer.

Confetti sundae buds smell of very gassy, strawberries and cream.

Berry beast buds are smelling like funky fruit loops cereal.

New pepper bowl for my harvests :)

An amazing find at my local thrift shop. Perfect for any smaller pepper harvests :)

Yellow scotch bonnet harvest :)

One of my favorite peppers to grow! Very sweet with a tropical fruity flavor, and very hot. These will make a very tasty sauce.

These peppers came from a seedling I bought from my local nursery back in may. If you’re looking for true scotch bonnets seeds I’d highly recommend white hot peppers, Texas hot peppers and Matt’s peppers!

True vs false Tabasco pepper

After seeing loads of ID requests of upwards growing peppers misidentified as a Tabasco I figured this psa would be necessary.

It’s a shame I’ve bought many plants labeled Tabasco from many different nurseries and big box stores just for me to later find out I’ve grown an imposter from an entirely different species.

First time propagating, are they ready to plant in the ground?

These cutting were taken from an outdoor plant but have been inside for the last two weeks in front of a window. will I have to harden them off to the outdoors again?
