Looking for people who are serious about improving their English together

I’ve always tried to learn English on my own—textbooks, courses, apps, private tutors… But I think I’ve finally realized that language isn’t something you can learn completely alone. You need to actually use it.

So I’d like to build a small group of people who are genuinely committed to improving their English.

The idea is simple:

  • Practice speaking together in voice calls.
  • Sometimes just hop into a call, turn our cameras on, and study grammar or vocabulary quietly.
  • Keep each other motivated and accountable.
  • No pressure, no judgment—just consistent practice.

If you’re genuinely interested and willing to participate regularly, send me a DM.

One thing though: I want this to be a respectful and focused group. People who repeatedly disrupt the group or make others uncomfortable will be removed.

If this sounds like something you’ve been looking for, DM me.

I’ve been learning English for years but still feel stuck around B1. What finally worked for you?

I’ve been trying to improve my English for years.

I’ve taken courses, studied with textbooks, worked with private tutors, used language learning apps, watched YouTube videos… pretty much everything people usually recommend.

The problem is that I still feel like I’m stuck around B1. I can understand a lot, but speaking naturally is still difficult, and I don’t feel confident expressing myself.

At this point, I’m wondering if I’m just learning the wrong way.

If you were stuck at an intermediate level for a long time and eventually broke through, what actually made the biggest difference?

I’m looking for real experiences rather than general advice like “just keep practicing.”
