One of my favorite type of posts on this subreddit is players crashing out over a difficult boss. These seem to be really common over bosses like Dybbuk, Spewer, Marshmallow, and Crater Maker.

This is not meant to make fun of new players asking for help, this is meant to make fun of people who struggle than have a crash out on reddit where they insult the game, the boss design, and Edmund or other developers who put a lot of work into making the game.

for the record I always leave advice in the comments when I see one of these players, this is just a shit post. please do not harass anybody with this image.

it is pretty hard to miss a big inconsistency with the game. when you kill an enemy cat, even if it explodes into a massive pile of gore, it always comes back after you press the end day button. when your cats die and the body is destroyed they don't come back. Another thing is the minibosses never age, Fenrir looks pretty old, but he never gets "old and tired" and he never dies.

I know it is a game but I am looking for an in universe explanation.

I think all of the places from the 3 acts are stuck in a time loop. hear me out, I have some evidence there must be an in game explanation, but this will be spoiler heavy, there are act 3 spoilers in here.

The >!"mysterious stain"!< event can show up long before >!the cats ever kill Hitler3!<.

There are some event's that aren't cleanly reset for one reason or another. the monkey paw, tape recorder, and a handful of other events don't cleanly reset every run. The house bosses are also outside of the time loop, maybe it's because none of them exist in the areas you explore.

before you say it is different every run maybe you just get different encounters every run because your cats go in a different direction when they arrive, maybe every time you go to the alley you are starting off in a different part of the alley, or maybe you are showing up at 12PM instead of 9AM that run.

It's just an idea, if anybody has evidence for or against the theory feel free to drop it in the comments.
