Find a way to pass up a golden opportunity in favor of a “monthly salary” that wouldn’t even cover rent

I made her momma go away for a very long time (I’m innocent)

This is Winston. She’s a girl. She’s in the arms of my stepmom (I prefer to think of her as my second mom, but I’m clarifying this to prevent confusion).

My stepmom is her favorite human. She’s her momma.

A while back, my sister got married out of state. I was too unwell for that kind of travel, so everyone else went and left me in charge of the house. They’d be gone for about ten days, which is I guess about two decades in cat-years with how terribly she took such a devastating loss.

Winston was very upset at my stepmom’s absence. She kept looking up at me with sad eyes, and slept on her pillow. I tried to comfort her, but I wasn’t momma, so it was very little respite from her traumatic ordeal. When my stepmom finally returned, Winston clung to her like Velcro.

However, despite the fact that I was the one that was there for her all ten days for cuddles and food, when my stepmom came back, Winston blamed ME for her absence.

Winston gave me the stink-eye for days, and would basically rebuff me when I tried to show her affection. This is one of the photos that I took of her showing her disdain for my terrible actions of making her momma disappear for forever.

Why punish me? I wasn’t the one who got married out of state!

It’s always the older sister who takes the blame for their younger sister’s infractions. 😒

This is an old article, published in 2018 by the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I’m wondering if this new discovery can help scientists make a version of Distaval that can treat hyperemesis gravidarum. If I know my history correctly, it was highly effective at treating HG and morning sickness in general, which is why it was prescribed so much.

HG is such a brutal condition, so I’m hoping that maybe this can lead to a better treatment for it that isn’t just surviving on Zofran alleviating some of the nausea.

BUT - this is all musings on someone who has no degree in medical science. I love learning about it, but I’m also clueless lol.
