How would your OC solve the Aegis problem? (The Ranks)

How would your OC solve the Aegis problem? (The Ranks)

The legendary Top 1 hero of 6 decades ago has returned. Somehow. He hasnt aged a bit even though 60 years have passed. Aegis was called the heroest hero for a reason back in the day. He stood up against evil and always protected the weak. He even refused to play pretend in the hero tournaments and obey his corporation. One day he suddenly disappeared. He was announced dead, even though he was invincible. Now he is back and way more unstable than before. He was frozen, for 60 year in antarctica until two heroes freed him. Now he is running a rampage, just beating every corrupt hero or CEO of a hero agency he can find. The problem is he accidentally kills them, and not only that, he sometimes confuses pure heroes for corrupt ones. So now someone has to stop him. But everyone who has tried has failed.

His powers include:

  1. Indestructibility. He has never been hurt, his skin, his insides have never taken damage. Ever.
  2. Energy storage. Every type of energy he gets physically gets hit with gets stored inside of him. Wheather the energy is kinetic, heat, electrical, doesnt matter, it all gets stored, for however long Aegis wants. (Side note: Because he spent so many years, laying under mountains of ice, he has accumulated enough energy to wipe the earth's surface or more. He would never release that kind of energy at once. He just has it stored at the start of this battle.)
  3. Energy charge. He can release the charged energy in a controlled manner under the form of kinetic energy. A punch, a kick or a shockwave.
  4. Negation. For some reason Aegis is really resistant to other people's powers. For example, a person with telekenisis couldnt move him, a warper couldnt teleport him, and he could punch straight through spacer's space manipulation.
  5. Additional resistances Aegis has are: To poisons (any type of poison will not work on him), he doesnt need oxygen, doesnt need food or water, doesnt age.

Physically Aegis (without using his energy release) has the striking strenght of a large building and lifting strenght of city block level - multi city block level. He can run at supersonic-hypersonic if his path isnt obstructed but his combat speed and reaction speed are way faster (hypersonic+). Aegis is not dumb, he is a great leader, a very smart person overall and a near genius in terms of combat.

Weaknesses:

  1. He really cares about innocent lives and will try his best to avoid casulties.
  2. Cold. When under extremely low temperature for a prolongued period of time, he freezes. He is still sentient but cannot move his body.

(I dont want any characters that are universal or somwehre around that or higher. Make it fun and fair!)

How far does your OC get into the top 10 highest ranked heroes of my world?

Top 10 - Truth. Truth is an entirely fake hero. Literally. She is an actor with a lot of ghostwriters and very good special effects. and LOTS of money If your OC can be bought out, they lose. She is physically weaker than an average human.

Top 9 - Cardmaster. He is a 14 year old boy, very spoiled and rude due to being adopted by one of the agency CEOs. He is very rich due to daddy's money too but he does have superpowers. His power revolves around controlling playing cards while altering their properties. The cards can become sharp enough to cut people apart, large enough to use for flight or large and sharp enough to cut a skyscraper in two. He cannot create cards though he can only control them, but thats why he has 4 decks of playing cards under his coat. He can tank what he can output. Running he is supersonic-hypersonic but flying on a card he is hypersonic+ (his cards also are hypersonic+). Because he is a kid, Cardmaster has never seen actual gore which means he is horrified by it like any other kid.

Top 8 - Vanta. Manipulates gravitational fields around herself. She can fly, massively enhance physical attacks, and imitate telekinesis through gravity manipulation. Her mother forced her into the hero industry and pushed her relentlessly since childhood. Because of that she developed a blunt, no-nonsense attitude. In order to put a gravitational field somewhere, that place has to be in her vision. The more weight she puts on a gravitational field the more her stamina gets drained. She can technically use every single drop to turn herself into a small unstable black hole, which has the power to wipe out potentially a continent before combusting on itself and dying in a high burst of radiation. (This black hole technique is a very very drastic messure). Her speed is around supersonic maybe hypersonic if we are being generous and she has superhuman durability - town - country level (if we highball). If your OC is a party goer and a chill person they can get along with Vanta as she is too a party goer despite her very serious hero persona.

Top 7 - Luminary. Luminary is a psychopathic monster who is not against killing because his agency will cover it up very well. His power is simple, he can turn intangible, which means he cant be hurt physically in that form and he can fly, phase through walls and people. In his normal physical form his strenght is small building level and his speed (while sprinting) subsonic. When intangible he can fly at supersonic speeds. His durability is superhuman (building to large building level). He can also choose what things to turn intangible with him, though he must be making contact with them. What makes him dangerous is his durability negation so he can explode people from the inside by turning tangible inside them or rearranging their organs (he can turn only parts of himself intangible or tangible).

Top 6 - Echo. Echo has the power to copy others' abilities after seeing them once. However, his copy is always lesser and he has to learn how to use the power/train it. He can also forget how to use certain powers after some time. Physically he is very well off with large town-city level strenght (he copied it) and hypersonic+ speed. Echo has an incredibly bad self perception and a identity complex, he doesnt know who he truly is and because of that is very reserved. He is however scared of killing people, but he would if it's a life or death situation (it will probably horrify him). For this fight he will has copied the powers of top 3, top 4, top 7 and top 8. OF course, theyre weaker, less range, less output, more tiring ect... Of course he does have limits to his copy, complex abilities like reality warping is impossible for him to copy and if he tries it causes massive damages to reality around him and himself.

Top 5 - Helios. The man is a literal star. While originally cheerful Helios has lost all life from his eyes due to his condition and powers. His powers are: Shooting out star matter/plasma/ionized gas, releasing giant solar flares strong enough to cause a blackout in a country and very strong radiation waves, strong enough to burn human flesh fully off. He can use these powers from any part of his body but he mostly uses his hands. He has heat resistance but he still gets 1st degree burns and more importantly, cancer from his powers. This cancer is everywhere, bones, skin, lungs, stomach ect... He does take medication which pushes the cancer cells back and is very effective and he can go on for days before the cancer kills him. As a last resort helios can turn himself into a small but stable star... Which, due to it's mass, can destroy a big portion of the earth. Helios hates killing and will try to avoid it at all costs. Strenght wise he is small town-multi city block level. Durability wise he is way higher, around country to continental level. In speed he is massively hypersonic.

Top 4 - Spacer. He is an old school hero (56 years old). Spacer is very melancholic because he is being pushed away by his agency to be replaced with a more modern hero. His power is space manipulation. He can expand, erase, collapse, create space, but it has to be in his sight. He can make it so space very quickly and rapidly expands around a point to simulate a durabiltiy negating explosion, he can erase limbs off his opponents (but they have to be within an arm's reach). He can fly through that ability, make it so attacks never hit him or make his punches always connect. Physically he is small town to multi city block strenght, country level durability and relativistic-sub light speeds. His battle IQ is also very high (due to his long experience in the buisness) and his very in depth knowledge about many martial arts and fighting styles.

Top 3 - Commander. She is a very cold and calculated person that resembles more a robot in attitude than human. Her power allows her to manipulate time either within a barrier or on herself. The larger the barrier the more stamina it drains from her. She can stop, slow down, speed up time. If she speeds up time for herself she can choose what aspects to speed up (her movement, aging, perception). SO she can be speeding up time for herself without aging and dying of old age. Physically she is on par with Spacer but just a lot more durable. So her strenght is small town to multi city block level, and durability is around the continental to multi continental level as when she is speeding up time for herself she can reach light speed or even faster which can cause a lot of destruction world wide.

Top 2 - Mr Wonderful. Wonderful is a menace as he has adaptive powers. If he survives a phenomenon once, he adapts and his body automatically develops a counter to said phenomenon. However, the adaptations arent permament as the more complex they are the less they last. So if he adapts water breathing that will stay for 1 month, if he adapts time stop resistance, it lasts 1 hour. Due to his adaptability, he is constantly being pushed by his agency (renews his adaptations and gets new) and thats how Wonderful got super strong. He can fly, breathe under water, doesnt need oxygen, resistent ot radiation, his strenght is multi continental if not moon level if we highball, his speed evolved up to FTL (for now, if he flies at his max FLT he will evolve something above that). Since he was born in a lab, he is very volitile and has deep rooted anger issues he cannot control which can cause he to lash out and murder people.

Top 1 - Unknown. Also called Snap, Sovereign, or just “the best.” He is not officially registered and barely interacts with other heroes. Nobody fully understands his power because he seemingly does almost anything. He can change the artsyle of the comic, turn it into an animation, put people in 2D, put himself in the 5th dimension, warp space and time, create dimensions, planets, stars, gravitational fields, dimensions with non euclidian geometry or that dont obey the laws of physics. He can also interact with the comic medium, control panels, text and speech bubbles, gutters, even onomatopias and blur lines. When he is seen, he is always figthing in a very flashy show-off type of style but he is a good person, he tries to talk criminals out of their crimes before giving them to the police. He never kills or cripples criminals. Unknown also has power imposed limitations: he cannot create any sentient life and he cannot revive the dead. Even if he changes the past, rewinds time, tries to revive the dead, nothing happens, his powers dont allow him.

(Art by me. ALSO I DONT WANT ANY BOUNDLESS OR 1-A CHARACTERS HERE, THIS AINT THE PLACE FOR EM!)

How strong is the strongest hero in my story? "The Ranks" (still in development)

We are going his full potential ignoring his self imposed morals and limitations. Top 1 doesnt have an official hero name so i will refer to him as "Snap" or his real name - "Niko". His ability is reality warping, which also includes space, time, matter manipulation, dimensional manipulation and metaphysical abilities. For how he uses all of these powers i will give many examples:

  1. During a robbery of a high level lab he stopped the criminals by throwing the bomb outside of the panel into the gutters. He made it so the bullets swerved and left the panel instead of hitting him. Stretched out the room so the robbers could never reach him. Shrunk them and resized them back when he gave them to the police.

  2. He was sitting on top of a skyscraper. He snaped, making the building bend like a long skateboard ramp, Niko then grabbed the "Snap" onomatopeia and used it as a skateboard to slide down the ramp building.

  3. He reached out of the panel to redirect a punch at himself, making the opponent hit himself.

  4. He pulled a panel from above to use a shield against an attack, and then crumpled the panel and threw it away.

  5. Niko can also use the gutters as weapon, making them cut into a panel, wounding his opponent without him being able to respond.

  6. Snap can also freely turn others and himself in and out of 2D, 3D, 4D (ect), change the style of the comic, even turning it into an animation and also interact with its parts (as i said onomatopias, panels, blur lines, speech bubbles/narration bubbles, gutters).

  7. He can travel through time by leaving the panel and going through the gutters, he can also change the past only to a certain level that way.

  8. Niko once turned a blur line into a sharp needle-like blade.

  9. He can also duplicate and create things out of air, for example he pulled an identical copy of a car out of a car (yes its confusing, im sorry).

  10. Snap can also create pocket dimensions and infinite, non euclidean, structures, weather that would be a dimension of infinite stairs with different gravitational pulls, or a dimension where planet are small enough to make a lap around them in a second, or an infinite street where all people walking down it are exact copies of him.

  11. Apart from that Niko can also teleport, create portals, manipulate the prespective of people (only to a limited degree), shift his form, manipulate shadows, energy, create solar objects (like stars and planets), create wormholes ect ect.

  12. Some things i cannot clasify are: He once pulled a camer out of air, snapped a photo of a person and that person was now in the photo. After he threw the photo away and snapped the person turned back like nothing happened. Niko also once turned a person into a tree and then back into a person and that person was unchanged.

Of course he does have limitations: He cannot under any circumstances revive anyone, if a person is dead and he rewound back time, the person remains dead no matter what he does. He cannot fully control what people see or feel. What he can do with his limited prespective manipulation for example is to make people unable to recognize his face (since he doesnt wear a hero mask). He cannot create sentient life forms at all.
