DCB Metal vs HSBC Premier
Hi All!
I currently have a DCB Metal card which I have been using as the primary (and only card) for some time. I am getting an option to get HSBC Premier card if I shift my salary account to HSBC.
Wanted to check which will be the better card for me as the primary card. Relevant details below:
- Average monthly spend of 1-2L. Consistently hit quarterly milestone on DCB metal (one reason for not going through the hassle of upgrading to Infinia)
- Spends are a mix of offline, online, travel, vouchers (very limited) - not super concentrated in any category
- Priority is to get one primary card which maximises points/returns after conversion - rewards primary usage will be travel; don’t want to spend too much time/thought splitting spends across cards to maximise rewards
First option is I get HSBC Premier as the primary card, and use DCB metal as the backup.
Alternative is I get TravelOne as the backup card, and keep DCB metal as the primary card.
Please suggest ideal card and spend mix.
Thanks!
